Part Nine: The Day After
Amidst the storm that rolled down from the mountains to the north, a group of hunters pulled their cloaks and coats tight about them to avoid the storm. They had been on the trail of the beast and had been lucky at the village to find its tracks amongst the bloody mess of a household. Plus, two people matching the description given by their leader had been seen and had left. They were catching up as they travelled through the open sheep fields where the storm threatened to rip them to pieces with wind, hail and lightning. When their horses refused to move further they kicked to carry on, unwilling to remain in the shadowy crevices of one terrible gorge.
By the time the storm hit them at its hardest it was midnight and they had already past through the rocks and on the journey through the thick pine laden valley between these hills and the very mountains. Within the slopes of the mountains the hunters knew there was a place where no hunting c
